Trash the Dress, Part I
Yeah. You read that right. We trashed a dress — actually three this weekend. I had the opportunity to organize and invite 12 of my favorite photographers from around the Southeast to enjoy a fun filled weekend of dress trashing.
So what’s all this dress trashing talk about anyway, right? It’s real simple — we take a bride, a dress and get her dirty. No worries about dragging it in the dirt, across moldy park benches, into fountains and splashing around, laying in the middle of a field of grass or in the marshy mud. The dirtier the better! It’s fashion inspired and is all about creating dramatic kick ass photographs of hot brides! And what’s hotter than a bride who doesn’t care about getting a little dirty in the woods or wet at the beach. Here in the South bridal session are crazy popular. I like to call this the UN-Bridal Session. Yeah, this aint your mom’s bridal session.
Why would a bride want to do this, you ask? Why would you want to suffocate your dress in a plastic bag and forget about it in the top of your closet when you could memorialize it in amazing portraits. Your wedding is a once in a lifetieme event. Your portraits should be just as amazing, dynamic, dramatic, sexy, sassy and fun as you are! That’s why a bride would want to trash her dress.
Here are some amazing results from our morning session at Wormsloe with Ally and Dacy

I think its very sexy to trash the dress. i would love it if I had the upportunity!
Might just as well turn the dress into something more memorable. These photos certainly bet the heck out of the dress hanging in the closet!
